Welcome to Inner Core Mods, a platform developed and maintained by Horizon Team ("Company", "us", "we", "our"). We provide a robust ecosystem for the Minecraft: Bedrock Edition community to publish, discover, and download custom modifications and modpacks, as well as engage with community servers via our website and Horizon launcher.

This Privacy Policy outlines how Horizon Team collects, uses, protects, and manages your personal data and digital content. As a service processing data within Europe, we are committed to upholding high standards of data protection and transparency.

A. Account Registration and Credentials

You can register for an Inner Core Mods account using either a traditional email/password combination or a third-party service:

  1. Direct Registration: We collect your chosen Username, Email address, and a cryptographic hash of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.
  2. Third-Party Authentication (OAuth): You may register and log in using Google, GitHub, Discord, or Twitter. When you use these services, we receive public profile data authorized by you (such as your third-party user ID and linked email). We do not access your private messages or internal data on these platforms.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  1. Network and Device Data: We collect IP addresses and basic network request data when you connect to our website or API via Horizon launcher.
  2. Session Data: We use browser LocalStorage to store active session identifiers and authorization tokens locally on your device to keep you securely logged in.

2. How We Use Your Information

Horizon Team strictly limits the use of your data to the operational requirements of our platform:

  1. Platform Functionality: To manage your account, authenticate sessions, and grant you access to core features (publishing projects, rating mods, creating collections).
  2. Security and Infrastructure Integrity: IP addresses and network data are monitored strictly to protect against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, mitigate spam, and ensure the safety of our servers.
  3. Service Communication: To send critical account notifications, such as password resets or important service updates.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Your privacy is important to us. We adhere to the following rules regarding data sharing:

  1. No Data Sale: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties.
  2. Legal Compliance: We will disclose your data if required by law, such as complying with a valid subpoena, court order, or legal directive from recognized regulatory authorities.

4. User-Generated Content, Copyright, and Content Removal

Inner Core Mods is a platform for user-generated content. We respect intellectual property rights and require our users to do the same.

  1. User Licensing: Every user retains the ability to choose and assign specific licenses for the projects (mods, modpacks) they publish on the platform. You are responsible for the content you upload and the terms under which you share it.
  2. Copyright Takedowns and Legal Removal: Horizon Team reserves the right to remove any user-published project at any time, without prior notice. This action will be taken if we receive a justified and verified copyright infringement claim from a rights holder, or if we receive a binding directive or request from legal regulators and law enforcement agencies.

5. Data Storage and Security

We implement robust measures to safeguard your information:

  1. European Infrastructure: All user data is securely stored on servers located within Europe.
  2. Encryption: Data in transit is secured using modern TLS/SSL encryption protocols.

6. Your Rights and Data Control

A. Third-Party Account Unlinking

You may revoke access and unlink any third-party OAuth service from your account at any time. Upon unlinking, data associated with that specific service is discarded. Note: You must maintain at least one active authentication method (email or an OAuth provider) to retain access to your account.

B. Account Deletion and Project Retention

You have the right to permanently delete your Inner Core Mods account and its associated personal data by visiting https://inner-core.org/settings/account .

Please read the following carefully regarding account deletion:

  1. Permanent Action: Once an account is deleted, it cannot be recovered under any circumstances.
  2. Project Retention: Deleting your account will not automatically delete the projects (mods, modpacks) you have published. Your uploaded content will remain accessible on the platform to preserve the integrity of community modpacks and dependencies.
